Grapefruit Lemonade What We’re Loving this Summer: Grapefruit! It’s the beginning of August and Texas temperatures are higher than ever! Here in Waco, we’ve been experimenting with ways to cool off and enjoy the summer. The best way to do that? Refreshing drinks! Right now, our current obsession is Grapefruit Lemonade! *best enjoyed with laughter and long time friends* This drink is the perfect pair to our Grapefruit Slice Tea Towels designed by Kelly Harp. Serves 4 Ingredients: 2 pink grapefruits 6 tablespoons of sugar + a little extra for the rim Fresh water and ice Mint for garnish Directions: Squeeze the grapefruits into a bowl to collect the juice Use a strainer to filter the juice into a pitcher Add sugar and stir until dissolved Pour in cold water to taste (Rule of thumb: ⅓ grapefruit juice to ⅔ water) Dip the rim of the glass into sugar, add ice, and fill up! Add a sprig of mint Wanting to make an impression on your guests? Add paper straws and serve in your cutest glasses. Cheers! Keep the grapefruit theme going and light our Grapefruit Persimmon Candle.
