Our mission at Harp Design Co. is to build pieces that bring you together. For us, there is nothing quite like gathering around a table with family or friends. We hope our pieces help you to create memories, strengthen bonds, and nurture friendships that will last a lifetime. Cultivating togetherness is the heartbeat of everything we do.
At its core, Harp Design Co. is a team of craftsmen and designers, always looking to build something that will provide meaning and add character to a home. We handcraft our pieces to last, using a mix of old-world technique and modern technology. This quality craftsmanship and our distinctive style can be seen in every piece of furniture we deliver.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to partner with Chip and Joanna Gaines on Fixer Upper and the DIY network on shows including Wood Work and Against the Grain. Now, we are proud to be working with the Magnolia Network on Restoration Road with Clint Harp. It is a joy to be able to show you who we are and what we do, and if you’ve been following us for a while, we sincerely hope that you’ve enjoyed watching us grow as craftsmen and as a company.

With the support of his wife pushing him farther than he ever imagined, Clint wakes up everyday living a dream. Clint is a visionary risk taker who gets most of his inspiration when he’s running, loves to eat just about anything,loves playing with his kids, knows Kelly is the best thing that ever happened to him, and has a really hard time staying organized…but can imagine a day where he will finally have his ducks in a row…yeah right. And oh yeah, he really loves building furniture!
Kelly: Owner; Tyler, Texas
Kelly designs handmade home goods for HDC, makes everyone in the Harp family look good, is a lover of just about anything on NPR, an avid reader, a coffee drinker, a foodie, and craves the beach every day. With a creative spirit, love for all things beautiful, and an eye for design, she is making HDC look better and better every day. And if there is ever a spare moment in her day, she’d prefer to spend it on a yoga mat.

What is your favorite food? My mouth waters just thinking about the giant T-bone steak from Doe's Eat Place in Little Rock, AR.
What is your favorite thing to do at Harp Design Co.? My heart pounds when I get to crank up that Powermatic 3520b and send the wood shaving flyin'.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? I keep building my own furniture. I can't stay away! (Ask my GF!)
Who are your top 3 favorite bands or artists of all time? 1. Sturgill Simpson 2. Norm Abram 3. Charles Eames (I mixed!)
If you could get Clint to build you one thing what would it be? A new shop
Joel: Craftsman; Dallas, Texas
What is your favorite food? I’m a huge fan of Mexican food! It can be fine cuisine or microwave dinners. If it’s Mexican, I’m going to like it.
What is your favorite thing to do at Harp Design Co.? I love making tables of all kinds. I love custom projects that allow me to make unique pieces even more. But, my favorite thing to do at Harp is to turn on the lathe- Bowls, bottles, candlesticks- anything on the lathe.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and kids. Whether traveling, or hanging out at home- if I’m with my family, I’m happy.
Who are your top 3 favorite bands or artists of all time? There are too many bands or groups to name- but, I’ve had a lifelong love for the Beatles- my dad introduced me to their music as a child, and it’s stuck with me. Though not a musical artist, I also love the poetry of Windell Berry. His writings make me appreciate natural beauty and working with my hands.
If you could get Clint to build you one thing what would it be? If I could get Clint to build me anything, it would be a unique wooden vase or bowl. His skill and ease on the lathe is something I admire and maybe even envy a little bit.
